Mihi Whakatau – Please attend the Mihi Whakatau on Saturday morning before the Middle event to acknowledge and thank Ngāti Rangithi as mana whenua of Crater Block Forest. Please arrive by 9am, 9.15am at the latest, so that we can kick off promptly at 9.30am. The welcome will take place at the DOC Ash Pit Road Campsite. This is a 300m walk from parking. There is some limited parking at the campsite itself. The model map will open straight after the Mihi Whakatau.

Traffic – Please allow sufficient time for road works and holiday traffic to make your Sprint start time – check out the Waikato roadworks for Easter if coming from the north.

Weather conditions – Obviously we have been watching the weather forecast closely. It’s hard to know how it will pan out but come prepared for cold and maybe some rain.
